Ineresting Review of Final Cut

1 08 2007

Jamie Stuart reviews the new Final Cut Pro Suite 2 in Filmmaker Magazine, but he does it in an interesting way. He shot a short little film, called 12.5 Second Later, using some of the apps in the suite and walks the reader through much of the process of creating it.

There are a slew of cheesy effects in the film, most of which would never make it past the temp stage on any film, but that’s part of the point here. These are not bad for quickly done temp effects.

Both the review and the film are worth a look-see if you’ve got ten minutes. The review doesn’t go into much depth, but it is an interesting take on a review — creating a film to test with and then letting the readers see it.
